The year is going out with a bang for J.R. Martinez. The Iraq war veteran was crowned winner of Dancing with the Stars in November and he just announced he and girlfriend Diana Jones are expecting!
They'll welcome a daughter in the spring, and Martinez says he already has visions of what that will be like. "First thing that crossed my mind when we found out we were having a girl: All the #emotional feelings, all the #beautyproducts, and the #OMG's," he tweeted over the weekend.
Martinez and Jones, 28, met when he landed a role on All My Children in 2008 and she was working on the set as an assistant. "We were friends, and, you know, it was a workplace, so you don't want to cross the line," Martinez told Access Hollywood in a past interview. "I was respectful of that, and for about two years we were great friends."
He explained that one day the pieces just came together in terms of a romantic relationship. "Finally, something happened, something clicked, and I just said, '[Do] you ever look at me differently than just a friend?' And she kind of paid attention to it, and here we are! It's great."
