MANILA, Philippines – YouTube has been a platform for talented people all over the world, including quite a number of Filipinos—some of whom have been lucky enough to use it as springboard for recognition or even success.
Two new discoveries from the video sharing site are twins Justin and Jeremy Garcia, whose videos have become sensations among the site’s users. In fact, their dancing and singing videos have already garnered more than two million hits.
The parents of the twins are overwhelmed by the media attention as invitations for their talented kids pour in. “Naman! Nakakagulat,” Troy Garcia, the twins’ father, quipped when asked about his sons’ popularity on the Internet.
The boys’ mom, Nina, was likewise amazed by the attention that her twins enjoyed after posting their videos on YouTube out of fun. “Masayang-masaya na ‘yun nga….. Unang-una hindi namin in-expect talaga na magkaka-twins kami ni Troy. Talagang blessing na ‘yon sa amin as it is tapos talented pa,” Nina said on “TV Patrol,” July 27.
The twins, as reported by “TV Patrol,” were just following their elder sister Bianca Garcia, who liked to dance when playing Wii.
“I’m good because they’re getting famous,” Bianca quipped. The Garcia twins were already featured on Yahoo News and even "Good Morning America," the report said.
“Sa ngayon ay hindi pa nila naiintindihang sikat na sila. May offer na rin para sa kanila na gumawa ng TV commercial,” the report added. “Paisa-isa nang lumalapit ang mga nag-iimbitang TV network na gustong makapanayam sila.”
The Garcia twins were also featured in an article on HollywoodWatch.info, where videos not only of their dancing but also of their singing were featured. The twins have sung “Tayong Dalawa” and Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” in some videos.
