Is there any doubt at this point that Kent Boyd is going to take it all on this season's "So You Think You Can Dance"? He's a wonderful dancer with a great personality, adorable, warm, guileless and utterly unthreatening to the pre-teen voting bloc.

There will be two dancers ousted tomorrow night; last week judges felt they couldn't make a decision because Billy Bell decided not to perform after injuring his knee (though his doctor had cleared him). The guest judge is professional ballroom dancer Toni Redpath.Kent with Anya Garnis, cha cha choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux and France.

I feel like I’ve been a little shortchanged over the last three Thursdays. Well, that’s not entirely true: "SYTYCD" results shows have been delivering some wonderful dance performances (and some OK musical performances), but are we ever going to get a regular elimination, one where the solos actually mean something?

The episode kicked off with a great group number to "All That Jazz" with guest choreographer Lea DeLaria. I liked the Fosse-esque moves combined with the rather grubby, old-fashioned styling and set design of the piece, along with the toned-down version of the song. The dancers reminded me a bit of scrappy street performers, in a good way, of course.

These IIT students have dance on their mind

A group of IIT Mumbai students surprised all by winning UTV Bindass' Street Dance show last week, proving that a passion could be pursued successfully without compromising on studies. The next destination for these dancers of today and engineers of tomorrow -- choreographer Shiamak Davar's dance classes.

The 13-member group called Insync consists of third year and fourth year engineering students. "We have been taking part in many competitions and came out victorious from most of them. So we wanted a new and bigger platform now and decided to go for TV show," Sushant Ratan, one of the members, told IANS.

The Bolshoi Ballet Spartacus at Covent Garden, review

Yuri Grigorovich’s Spartacus is a ballet that needs all the help it can get. Although arguably more subversive than the Soviet culture police realised, this 1968 slab of propaganda can all too easily look like a lumbering old beast that should have been left snoozing indefinitely in the corner rather than being cruelly whipped back to life, and especially so to our more cynical, less melodramatically-inclined Western tastes.

What it demands, then, is a lead who can un-selfconsciously live and breathe the central role of the rebellious, love-lorn, enslaved gladiator, and fully rise to the Herculean technical challenges of Grigorovich’s solo steps, thereby both distracting us from the protracted and tedious panoplies of prancing soldiers and trudging slaves, and making even the more bombastic excesses of Khachaturian’s score seem perfectly judged.

Strictly Come Dancing stars to be paid by the dance

Celebrities appearing in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing will reportedly be paid by the dance. As part of the revamp to make the show more exciting, competitors could earn as little as £10,000 if they exit the show early. However, if they reach the final the celebrities will make up to £100,000.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "This is a way of rewarding those who do well rather than paying one big lump sum. "It makes sense and will act as a healthy incentive."The move will make sure that large sums of money are not paid out to stars who only last in the competition for a few weeks. Martina Hingis, who was voted off the show first last year, reportedly received £50,000 for taking part. Among those tipped to be taking part in this year's series include Gavin Henson, Felicity Kendal and Frank Bruno.

For the second week in a row, a contestant was dropped from the competition due to injuries (and, from a selfish point of view.

The audience sat through something of a red herring of a results show). I had a feeling Ashley would be leaving us at the beginning of the show when she didn’t seem to appear.

we know there are many, many more dittos than this – so many that it's going to become a recurring series, hopefully with a sort of "theme" to each post. So please, bear with us as we try to find the best pix for each one, and please do list any that you'd like to see a comparison of…we will do our best to make it happen!
Battle of the 2-piece yellow fringe dress: Anna's pro dance during the Beach Boys' week 2 results show performance vs. Lil Kim's samba with Derek in season 8 Courtney: I think the color really pops on both ladies' skin – I especially love the way it looks paired with red hair.

Saturday night’s fourth annual Dancing with the Stars Shasta County Style was the most lucrative of the shows ever, said Kristi Hanson, fundraising coordinator for the Shasta Women’s Refuge, the agency benefiting from the event. The six teams raised more than $65,000 combined, blowing away last year’s total of $16,000.

“It was an unbelievable amount of fundraising by our outstanding cast,” Hanson said Monday, adding that she was still reeling from the affirmation of the community to help the refuge. “It comes at such a great time for us.” Maria Orozco, Redding Rancheria’s public relations director, and her dance partner Jake Carver won both the champion and Judge’s Choice awards.
